Born in Lębork, where he graduated from the 1st Secondary School. In 1987, as a cadet, he began his studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, from which he graduated in 1992. Then he completed postgraduate studies at the University of Gdańsk (1997), Gdańsk University of Technology (2004), as well as Defense Policy Studies at the National Defense University (2014). He is a doctor of defense sciences. After graduation, he served in the 7th Lusatian Coastal Defense Brigade and the 3rd and 36th Armored Brigades in Trzebiatów. From where he joined the 1st Territorial Defense Brigade. In 2007, he was entrusted with the duties of the commander of the XXVII rotation of the Polish Military Contingent of PKW UNIFIL in Lebanon. In the years 2008-2011 he served in the Land Forces Command.

In 2012-2016, he served at the Doctrine and Training Center of the Armed Forces in Bydgoszcz. He also served as national director of the Multinational Capability Development Campaign (MCDC). From 2016, he was the deputy director of Grzegorz Kwaśniak from the Office for the Establishment of Territorial Defense.

In 2017, he was appointed the deputy commander of the Territorial Defense Forces. From January 24, 2020, he was the director of the Office for the "Become a Soldier of the Republic of Poland" Program. On November 11, 2018, he was appointed to the rank of brigadier general. By the decision of the Minister of National Defense, on May 16, 2022, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the Inspectorate.
