Col. Andrzej Lis, PhD

Director of the Center for Doctrine and Training of the Armed Forces

Andrzej Lis was born in 1976 in Lublin. In 1995 he entered the Military Academy of Józef Bem in Toruń, from which he graduated in 1999. After promotion, he took the position of a platoon commander at the Rocket Forces and Artillery Training Center.
In 2001, he was sent to the Command of the Pomeranian Military District in Bydgoszcz, where he served for 6 years as a specialist in the Host State Functions Security Department. In 2004, he completed a command practice as a company commander in the 1st Logistics Brigade. In 2007, he became a spokesman - head of the Press Department in the Inspectorate for Support of the Armed Forces.
Col. Andrzej Lis graduated with a master's degree in management (2001) from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and in English philology from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (2013). In 2007, he defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in the discipline of management science. He is also a graduate of postgraduate studies at the National Defense University (2006). He also completed several courses and trainings at universities and training centers in Poland and abroad (including in Great Britain, Germany, France, Sweden and the Czech Republic)
