Col. Konrad Korpowski

Director of the Government Security Center

Veteran of the Second Gulf War, three missions in Iraq and two missions in Afghanistan. In Polish military contingents, he served as: officer, liaison officer, section officer, deputy team commander and group leader. He completed the Selection and the course for operators of GROM Combat Teams. In the years 1998-2016, he served in the Combat Team, Staff and Training Division at GROM. He is a parachute jumper, scuba diver, motorboat helmsman and unmanned aerial vehicle pilot.

He cooperated with many special forces units of NATO countries and other countries. He conducted a number of trainings in the field of special operations for various state institutions. He was the deputy manager of the international special forces exercise JACKAL STONE - 14 organized by the US Special Operations Command Europe.

In 2016-2017, he was the head of the training team at the Office for the Establishment of Territorial Defense. In 2017-2020, he was the Head of the Training Division at the Command of the Territorial Defense Forces. From 2020, Director of the Government Security Center.

He is a graduate of the University of Warsaw and the Tank and Automotive Training Center in Piła. He also completed Postgraduate Studies in State Defense at the National Defense University and Postgraduate Studies in Defense Policy at the Academy of War Studies in Warsaw. In addition, he completed a number of foreign courses, including NATO School Oberammergau, UK Defense Intelligence and Security Center, US Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation, LTU Natonal Defense Academy and US Join Special Operation University. It is legitimized by the certified abilities of "Project In Controlled Environments" and "Managing Successful Programmes".

During his service, he was awarded, among others: the Military Cross, the Military Cross with Swords, the Bronze Cross of Merit. In 2022, he was awarded the Medal of the Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, class I.
