Col. pilot Marcin Szubiński

Commander of the 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Base

Colonel Marcin Szubiński was born on March 9, 1973 in Płock. He was interested in aviation from an early age. He attended a military high school in Olsztyn, then he was a student of the Air Force Academy in Dęblin. He graduated in 1996, and his first assignment was the position of a pilot in the 9th Fighter Aviation Regiment in Zegrze Pomorskie, where he served as a senior pilot and flight commander. For the next two years, after reforming 9PLM into the 9th Tactical Air Squadron, from 2001 to 2002, he served as a pilot. After the 9th ELT was disbanded, it served from 2002 to 2007
in the 2nd Squadron of Transport and Liaison Aviation in Bydgoszcz as a pilot and senior pilot. From 2007 to 2010, he served in the 14th Transport Aviation Squadron in Powidz as the squadron's senior navigator. From 2010 to 2014, he served at the 33rd Transport Aviation Base in Powidz as the head of the aviation training section and the commander of the air squadron.
In 2014, he participated in the Polish Military Contingent in the Central African Republic as the Deputy Commander of the Contingent - Commander of the Air Team. In the years 2015 - 2019 he served as the Head of the Department of Current Operations NATO AGS FORCE Sigonella Italy. In the years 2019-2020, he served at the 33rd Air Transport Base Powidz as the Deputy Group Commander - Squadron Commander, Aviation Action Group.

By decision No. 1220 /MON of the Minister of National Defense of May 29, 2020, he was appointed from June 1, 2020 to the position of Commander of the 12th Mirosławiec Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Base.

Colonel pilot Marcin SZUBIŃSKI is an active pilot with 3100 flying hours.
In his career, he flew TS - 11 Iskra, AN - 2, AN - 28, MiG - 21, PZL M-28 BRYZA, C-130 HERKULES aircraft.
