Colonel Piotr Calak graduated from the Higher Military School of Air Defense Forces, specializing in anti-aircraft missile systems. Then he graduated from economics at the University of Szczecin, post-graduate studies in military economics and the Tactical and Operational Course at the National Defense Academy. He began his service in the 2nd Air Defense Corps as a platoon commander. He held the positions of commander of the launch battery, deputy commander of the radio engineering battalion, head of logistics of the Central Air Force Training Ground and the Air Force Training Center. Then he was the Commander of the 11th and 18th Military Economic Department, Commander of the 2nd Regional Logistic Base. He served twice as the Chief of Logistics of the Polish Military Contingent UNIFIL in Lebanon. From May 5, 2021, he is the Chief of Technical Services of the IWsp SZ.
