Karolina Rak, PhD, is an orientalist, Arabist and a literary scholar. She deals with contemporary social and cultural issues in the broadly understood Middle East and North Africa. Furthermore, her work focuses on Muslim discourse, with particular emphasis on the intellectual debate in the 20th century. In her latest research, she also deals with the phenomenon of Arab feminism. As part of knowledge promotion activities, she runs the FB, IG and Youtube Niswiyya-Arabic feminism profiles, as well as a podcast devoted to this topic.
