Océane Zubeldia holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the Sorbonne University. She is a senior research fellow “Drones, Industries and Innovation” at the Armament and Defense Economy department, Institute for Strategic Research at the Ecole militaire (IRSEM). Her work interests include disruptive technologies, drones, employment and industrial policies, as well as green tech and energy efficiency issues. For the past two years, she has co-organized a monthly seminar on New Military Technologies and Democratic Powers, which aims to put into perspective the organizational, operational, strategic, ethical, political and social issues surrounding present and future technologies. She is the author of the book History of Drones (published by Perrin, 2012).
