Jeff E. Newsom is the requirements and capabilities director for Counter UAS & High Energy Lasers for Raytheon Technologies. He is responsible for establishing and executing global market penetration and expansion strategies for High Energy Laser offerings.

Before his current role, Newsom served as the business development capture executive for the former Raytheon Company. He contributed to securing pursuits for cybersecurity, software development transformation, global training solutions and platform modernization and sustainment, valued in excess of $6 billion in annual revenue.
His other prior roles included serving as program manager for F-22 radar programs, the F-16 mission modular computer programs and the common AESA radars initiative and as a staff executive.
Newsom held roles at Lucent Technologies and Tyco Electronics prior to joining Raytheon Technologies.
Newsom holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a certified Program Manager, Capture Manager and Proposal Manager.
