LTC Raimundas Markauskas

Chief of Training and Combat support Center, Lithuania

LTC Raimundas Markauskas currently serves as the Chief of Training and Combat support Center, LTU. Prior to assuming command of Training and Combat support Center on 2020, served from 2015 to 2019 as the Lithuanian Armed Forces Deputy Defense attaché in Ukraine. At the same time was appointed as the NSHQ Point of Presence in Ukraine. LTC Markauskas career as an officer started in 2000. His other assignments as an officer include: different positions in Battalion from team leader to Chief of Staff, Chief of operations planning subsection in Forces HQ G3, J3 and J5 Operations planning officer in Joint Headquarters. He has served in two ISAF missions in Afghanistan. LTC Markauskas military courses include: Operational Level Planning Course (JSOU), JOC course (NSOS), Junior Staff Officer Course (LTU), Staff Officer Course (LTU), Joint Command and General Staff course (EST). LTC Markauskas holds Bachelor’s Degree in Soldiership (Military Academy of Lithuania) and Master’s Degree in Political Science (Military Academy of Lithuania).
