Miroslav Wlachovsky

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic

Miroslav Wlachovský is a diplomat and a foreign policy expert. Following leadership positions at the Slovak Institute for International Studies and the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association, he joined the Slovak foreign service in 1998. At the foreign ministry he held several senior management positions. From 2011 to 2015, M. Wlachovský served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and from 2018 to 2022 as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Kingdom of Denmark. During his career he also worked as Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic (in 2001-2003 and 2018-2022). Miroslav Wlachovský graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at Comenius University in Bratislava.
